Who we are

Premier Plumbing Ltd (company number 13536525) is a plumbing and heating business serving Swansea and South Wales. We are the controller of the personal information described in this policy, which means we decide how and why it is used.

What information we collect

Information you give us. When you use the quote form, call us, email us or message us on WhatsApp, we receive what you choose to tell us. This usually includes:

• your name, phone number and email address
• your postcode or address
• details of the job, such as the service you need and a description of the problem

Information collected automatically. Our website host keeps standard server records, which can include your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. This is used to keep the site running and secure. We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies on this website.

How we use it, and why

• To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote. We do this because you asked us to, or because it is in our legitimate interest to respond to people who contact us.
• To carry out work, arrange visits, invoice you and take payment. This is necessary to carry out a contract with you.
• To keep the records we are legally required to keep, such as accounting and tax records and gas safety records. This is a legal obligation.
• To keep our website secure and working properly. This is in our legitimate interest.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing unless you have asked us to.

Who we share it with

We only share your information where we need to, with:

• service providers who help us run the business, including our website and form host (Netlify), our email provider (Google) and our accountant
• Google, which supplies the fonts used on this website, so your browser may send it your IP address when a page loads
• WhatsApp (Meta), if you choose to contact us there. Your use of WhatsApp is covered by its own privacy policy
• suppliers and payment providers, where needed for your job
• regulators, scheme providers or other authorities, where the law or a regulator requires it

Transfers outside the UK

Some of these providers are based outside the UK, for example in the USA. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the UK's approved transfer arrangements.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not lead to any work: up to 6 months.
• Records of work and invoices: 6 years, which is the usual period for accounting and tax records.
• Gas safety and similar records: for as long as the law requires.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
• ask us to correct anything that is wrong
• ask us to delete your information, where we have no legal reason to keep it
• ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to us using it
• ask for your information in a portable format, where this applies

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

This website does not set cookies for analytics or advertising. If we add tools such as Google Analytics or Google Ads measurement in future, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.

Security and children

We take reasonable steps to keep your information secure and only let the people who need it see it. Our services are not aimed at children.
